Why this matters

Weather makes surfaces slippery, loads harder to handle, and visibility worse, often with no warning.

What to cover

  1. Check the forecast and the site at the start of the shift.
  2. Slow down on wet ground. Wear boots with good grip.
  3. Stop lifts and work at height when wind exceeds the limits in your plan.
  4. Keep cords and electrical connections out of water.
  5. Clear mud off steps, ladders, and boots.
  6. Take shelter and stop outdoor work if lightning is near.

Ask the crew

  • Which areas turn slippery first on this site?
  • What wind speed stops our lifts?
  • Where do we shelter if a storm arrives?

One thing to do today

Walk the site and mark or fix the wettest, slipperiest spot.
