Why this matters

Telehandlers can tip when the boom extends. Loads fall and ground crews are close.

What to cover

  1. Use the load chart for your attachment.
  2. Keep the boom low when you travel.
  3. Don't cross slopes with a raised load.
  4. Keep people out of the landing zone and away from the boom.
  5. Set the machine level before you lift.
  6. Use a platform designed for people if you must lift anyone.

Ask the crew

  • What's the rated load at this reach?
  • Where's the level ground?
  • Who guides the landing?

One thing to do today

Check the chart is in the cab and matches the attachment.
