Why this matters

In an emergency, clear information gets help to you faster.

What to cover

  1. Call the emergency number first for fire, serious injury, or danger.
  2. Say where you are: site address, gate, and the nearest landmark.
  3. Say what happened and how many people are hurt.
  4. Stay on the line until you're told to hang up.
  5. Send someone to meet the ambulance.
  6. Tell your supervisor after you've called.

Ask the crew

  • What is our site address?
  • Which gate should the ambulance use?
  • Who meets them?

One thing to do today

Post the address and the gate details next to every phone and radio.
