Why this matters

Materials that fall, tools left out, and blocked walkways cause injuries without anyone using a tool.

What to cover

  1. Stack on level ground and keep stacks stable.
  2. Keep stacks away from edges and exits.
  3. Store tools in boxes or on racks at the end of the shift.
  4. Keep sharp items covered and flammables in the right place.
  5. Leave a clear route for people and equipment.
  6. Label what's in a box so no one digs through it.

Ask the crew

  • Which stack on this site worries you most?
  • Where are tools left out at the end of the day?
  • Who's responsible for each laydown area?

One thing to do today

Pick the messiest storage area and tidy it before the end of the shift.
