A company admin chooses who starts groups and channels, whether files can be attached, whether messages can be deleted, and how long messages are kept.

What changed
Connect, Settings holds the rules. Retention removes old messages in direct, group and channel conversations except pinned ones, never below 30 days. Discussions on a record are part of the record and are always kept. Each change and each removal is on the audit trail.
Why it matters
A company can match Connect to its own rules about records and privacy.
